External HDD Recognition
I have a computer I built for myself 2 years ago and my parents have a 6 year old computer and a computer I just built last month. All three have Win XP Pro and have all the bells and whistles for software and updates. My dad bought an external 80Gb Maxtor HDD and has used it a few times over the past year or so with their old computer. Just recently their computer will see folders on the drive when you access it, but says they are all empty, it won't see any files of any king except for .org for a calendar program. Windows will show that 10 Gb is used under properties though. So I tried it on my computer and it sees everything. Now it won't see it on my parents new computer either, but still sees everything on my computer. I have tried just about everything and nothing has worked yet. Any ideas? Thanks in advanced for any help.
