SATA2 hard disk drive..... formatting
I buy a new PC
Intel Pentium D 3.4Ghz Windows XP PRo SP2 512 DDR2-RAM SATA2 Hard disk drive I want formatting my pc. Because I want to boot from my OS CD, so I go to setup by pressing F2 after I turn on my pc. Then change the DVD/CD-ROM from second to first fromthe BOOT Menu.. But, still unable to boot it.... Is SATA2 hard disk drive different with other type hard disk drive ? |

Once you've changed the boot order to cdrom first, you should see a message while booting stating Press any key to boot from cd-rom..... If you don't press anything it will continue to boot to the hard drive.
Also make sure you are booting to the correct cd-rom if you have more than one. |

Also make sure your BIOS is seeing your optical drives. It's easy to forget a plug, or have jumper settings mixed up.
