Laptop Hard Drive question

How can I find out what hard drive would be compatible with a dell inspiron notebook 2650? The hard drive I had crapped out on me and I need a new one soon because school is starting. If you know where I can find one please let me know. Right now it has a 20g so that size or a little bigger would be good but Cheaper the better. Thanks

Pretty much any 2.5" notebook Hard drive should be comatable. Here is a list of notebook drives form Newegg.

Hitachi, Western Digital, and Seagate are probably the better ones.
Seagate would be my personal choice but is slightly more expensive.

I'll support Whardman is in his relpy as being correct.

However, I would add Maxtor to his list.

Fujitsu also makes pretty good laptop hard drives.

I believe Toshiba also makes laptop HDDs.

Warranties are 5 years for Seagate, Maxtor;
3 years for Western Digital, Hitachi, Toshiba.
