Blah!!!!!
Okay, i have a slight problem.
I have 2 hard drives, one a maxtor 120gb (C:), the second (slave) is WDS 80gb (D:). I have installed XP on both. I normally pick and choose which one i will use as the OS but for some reason the D drive wont boot up, i get the old Boot system failure prompt and asked to insert the system disk... Only problem is, i cant find my copy of XP anywhere. Any ideas what i can do? Cheers all. Myth |

Greetings Myth-UK, and Welcome to TSF!
Firstly, have you tried to run the WD HDD by itself as a 'Master', to see if it will boot? Try it and post back with the result.

Can you access data on the D: drive while operating windows from the C: drive?
Why do you have o/s installed on both? You could just make a bootable replica of the C: drive using XXClone to your D: drive and it should boot, but you'might lose some drive paths along the way.

You can see both drives, but can you access any data on the D: drive without any problems?

If you just wanted to see if it would work, you might as well just wipe the partition and forget having 2 operating systems for no good reason.
If you have data on that drive you want and you didn't partition it, just move it to your C: drive or a few DVD Rs and let the wiping begin!!
