Can you boot up from an external hard drive connected to a usb port

I ran xxclone to my external hard drive but don't know how to boot up from it . Any suggestions anyone.

Send a message via AIM to whardman Send a message via MSN to whardman
Check in the BIOS to see if there is an option to allow the computer to boot from USB. If not then no I don't think you can't boot from a USB drive.
