Help Me Out Real Quick

I've got an HP a230n, with all stock parts, except an network adapter card i put in it a while ago. Anyway, i've got an old gateway in my basement with lots of goodies from back when i was a younger chap that i wanna get on this new 'puter. Now, as soon as i can find what tool will help me remove the harddrive from the old one, i'm lost. I've only opened up my new CPU case once. Anyone wanna be nice and walk me through putting the harddrive in my new computer. I only need to transfer a couple hundred of megs of stuff from the old, to the new. Thanks.

Hello:

not having messed around with a recent HP machine its hard to tell what you are "seeing" if you could email me some digital pictures it would help??

but any how installing a drive is easy

the removal of the old drive from your previous machine should be just some small philips headed screws mounting the drive in place? or maybe a plastic holding tabs like dells uses to insert into a drive caddy. When this is the case you simply sqeeze the plastic rails on each side of the drive towards the center of the drive and gently pull the drive away from the caddy.

check it out and let us know: once you have removed the old drive from the old computer we can proceed to installing it in your newer machine
