Help Me Please
i recently purchaded a pc off a friend without a hard drive because he wanted to keep his hard drive because ot had all his work and music on it. so i bought my self a SATA hard drive. when it arrived i conected the hard drive useing the SATA port on the mother boad. when i booted the pc up with the hard drive attached and inserted the xp disk, just befor instalation happend it gives me an message saying there isnt a hard drive attached. i dont no how to make the pc recognise the hard drive.

is it a sata or sata 2 h/d and what does the m/b support
when you go to load windows you need to load a driver using f6 either a sata driver or a raid driver,read through your m/b manual to find the correct bios settings and what driver needs to be loaded
