windows will not boot up

Hi guys and girls, I have a dell laptop that wont boot up. It has windows xp on it. when I turn it on it starts to loadup then it beeps twice and then the screen says dell monitoring system has detected that the drive on the primary EIDE controller is operating outside of normal specifications. hit f1 to continue or f2 for setup utility. So i hit f1 and and the screen gives me the options safemode, last known good config or start windows normally. When I select last known or regular windows starts to load then goes back to boot up and the primary EIDE page. I cant go into safemode either. Please help!

I believe your harddisk is going bad. Back up your data and run the diagnostic tool from the manufacturer.
