Get this?

Both of my computers have two optical drives.
Both have a DVD burner that works when buring computer files to DVD or CD from the computer.
In the last day the CDROMs in each machine have stopped working.
Both systems are using XP Pro.
Driver updates usually are not a problem for me to deal with but these seem impossible to find.

SYSTEM ONE (Sony)
CDROM = Samsung SC-140C
This drive will play music & show files but when I try to burn a disc copy from this drive to the DVD drive I get a "0x00000007" error in Roxio

SYSTEM TWO (Dell)
CDROM = HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8400B (an LG I believe?)
This drive will play music & show files but would not burn a disc copy from this drive to the DVD drive.....then I tried a regedit as per Roxio & deleted "UpperFilters" & "LowerFilters".....it still will play music & show files but now both this and the DVD drive are not there as per Roxio?

I just ordered a new cheap CDROM drive from NewEgg, I could live without one system being able to burn disc to disc for a while......but both being down is going to be a real problem w/ work real quick!

Any thoughts?
