Problem with cd burner

ok, i have this friend, and he has this problem where he cant burn cd's he has windows mellenium, he'll be right in the middle of burning a cd and it will just freeze, like he can listen to cd's he just cant burn, he uses Roxio Easy cd creater, and another thing is that the green light on the cd drive stays on. like its wants a disk. sometimes he uses real player to burn cd's but it also freeze's and sometimes the drive doesnt read a disk., it sounds like a virus to me.

need to see the system specs including the power supply details,was this burning disks ok before or has it always had this problem

he said it started doing that yesterday, his Kazaa stoped working and then his burning drive stoped working. he can listen to cd's on it, but it just doesnt burn!

uninstall roxio completly then reinstall

i hope your friend is fully protected from infections if he is using kazza

ok he got his burner fixed, the whole drive had to be replaced.
