Samsung drives

Ok, im building a PC for a friend here, almost done, was testing the drives out, one is a DVD-ROM model number SD-616T and one is a CD-RW model number SW-224B.

The DVD drive wont recognise copied DVD's, it will play a legitamate one, no worries (i chose Leon, good film that) but when i put in a copied one, say with applications on it it doesnt recognise it.

The cd-rw wont copy, it gets to the lead in part of the copying process and just sits there.

So im thinking im in need of some drivers, anyone point me in the right direction of them or have any ideas on what i could try.

Im runnin Windows XP SP2 on AMD Sempron 2600 with 512MB DDR

Opticals don't require any special drivers. It may require a new firmware.
