redoing Acer Aspire L3600

have Acer Aspire L3600 with Windows Vista Home Premium (Single User) 6.00 Build 6001 Service Pack 1 loaded. the board is a Intel(R) G33 G31 P35 Express Chipset Processor with a CPU-0 Intel Core 2 Duo E8090 (Wolfdale) @2.66GHz / Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7300 @ 2.66GHz
vista throws up endless probs, pop-ups and does not allow loading of software.
intend placing XP Sp3 professional.
understand that i will have to so format drives to erase all traces.
the oem site has just 35 mb of basic drivers for a winXP install. have my own doubts, as if in event of erasing and fresh install with xp, drivers prove a hindrance, then am stuck.
also understand that an Acer Aspire L3600 Data Recovery Boot CD is available.
questions, does anyone know how to source this cd, has anyone encountered major problems doing something similar and finally would someone please confirm if 35 mb is all there is to motherboard, sound (Realtek) lan, vga. grateful for assistance.
