Ok guys I'm stumped. Ethernet drivers?
Alleighty, so I'm stumped. I put a new Hd in today, went through installing windows xp, blah blah. However, I can't get onto the Internet at all. I can't even hit my router. Do I need some kind of Ethernet drivers or something? I installed the software for my mobo and still haven't resolves this issue. Whenever I try to log into my router IE tells me the search page cannot be found. I'm assuming this is some kind of driver issue, but I don't know what the problem could be. Anyone got any ideas? I don't know if my computer even knows the Ethernet cable is plugged in. All the LED lights are on. I'm stumped.

Re: Ok guys I'm stumped. Ethernet drivers?
Yes, you will need drivers. And they should be on the motherboard CD.
Ensure the ports are enabled in the BIOS. Also check Device Manager and see if there are yellow ! next to the device name (under Network adapters). If there are, you need to install the drivers. If there aren't, then you could just need to run the internet connection wizard in IE.
