can't find the ThinkPad A30 vid drivers
Before I start, I'd like to say up until this point I've considered myself computer savvy. I've built most of my machines, kept them up to date, stayed on top of drivers and whatnot... but now, this infernal little laptop, makes me feel like Derek Zoolander... "the files... they're "in" the computer... "
Alright here's my problem: I've got a IBM thinkpad A30, and for the life of me I can't install the video or internal WIFI drivers. It originally had windows 98 but I installed a moded version of XP called Tiny XP. I've downloaded the video drivers with that version of xp and they worked just fine. It came about time to reformat and I decided to try linux... low and behold i find i had a previously unrecognized internal WIFI card, and it works! awesome. But the version of linux I had didn't run too well on my laptop so I decided to go to xp. I'm currently running an un-moded version of XP pro, with service pack 3. Now I can't install either drivers, for my video card or for my internal wifi... to that end, I can't get any drivers from ATI to work, and it won't even recognize that it has internal wifi now. I'm not sure what I can do here... ANY help?? |
