windows/avg issue

I am still new at the posting thing here im not sure im in the right forum but...

Re: windows/avg issue

im having a issue with avg and windows, a little red thing with an x threw it pops up on the icons on the toolbar and says that avg might be possibly out of date. Now when i try to update it says my avg is completely up to date. How do i get the message to go away how come windows is not seeing that avg is up to date

Reinstall AVG. The database engine is bad.

Common problem with the security center and the way it loads to reconize antivirus. Go to control panel/security center/change the way security center alerts me/uncheck virus protection. If your avg runs and alerts on updating, then no problem.
