T40 keypad

I plugged an expanded keyboard into a USB port on my T40 and in order for it to work it had to download a new driver which it did succesfully. Now when I try to use the T40 without the USB keyboard, wrong characters appear when I type. I've tried deleting what I believe is the USB keyboard driver but it keeps coming back. What can I do so I can use the T40 keypad?

Re: T40 keypad

Hello and Welcome to TSF,

Start over.

1. Plug in your PS2 keyboard only, bootup computer
2. Once at desktop, install driver for USB keyboard
3. After driver is complete, turn off computer
4. Unplug your PS2 keyboard, and plug in the USB keyboard
5. Turn on computer

Note: On USB devices usually, the driver has to be installed first and computer rebooted before hooking device up.
