Asus P6T Windows 7 Driver Trouble

Hi,

I'm having trouble with drivers that I need for my Asus P6T Motherboard after installing Windows 7. So far I know I need to be downloading them from:

http://support.asus.com/download/dow...Language=en-us

But I dont know what to download, I have only downloaded the Audio Drivers so far.
In my computer information it says that im only running 2.00GB of RAM when I am running with 6.00GB

I have my RAM in sockets DIMM_A1, DIMM_B1 and DIMM_C1. I dont know what drivers I need to fix the problem and I know a few other people are having problems with these drivers too.

Please help,
David.

Re: Asus P6T Windows 7 Driver Trouble

I downloaded the bois and lan drivers but the chipset downloads a .ROM file. What do I do with that?

Re: Asus P6T Windows 7 Driver Trouble

ok so I have narrowed down a problem which apparently a few people are having.
All my BIOS are up to date, BUT for some reason only 2gb out of my 6gb of RAM is working on windows 7.

It's not faulty RAM or Sockets , it has something to do with the BIOS.
On start up it says only 2gb is being read, in my comptuer only 2gb is being read, but in CPU-z it says all 6gb are installed.

I have seen a few people downgrading their BIOS to fix the problem but EZ Flash wont let me down grade neither will the Asus Update Utility.
Can anyone help me with this its realy killing me, I've been trying to fix this for about 24hrs now.

Re: Asus P6T Windows 7 Driver Trouble

i thought the bios update was to fix a ram problem

if you want windows to see all the ram you need to be running 64x not 32x

if you have the correct bios file ezflash should let you go up or down

there are a number of different versions of this board

p6t
p6t deluxe and so on

you needd to be sure you are on the correct version for the correct update

ok, I did fix the problem slightly by downgrading my BIOS. Its now only reading 4gb RAM out of the 6gb. Im still going to fiddle with this agian to see if downgrading it agian will fix it completely.
Also I am running 64x Windows 7 and Im just using the standard P6T x58 chip set.
If I fix the problem i'll reply with what I did but any more information on the problem would help alot!

Just re booted my computer and it went back to 2gb :S

Re: Asus P6T Windows 7 Driver Trouble

do your memory sticks appear on the ram manufacturers website for your motherboard model ? ignore the QVL list, those are not nearly as comprehensive as the memory manufacturers website configurators

have a look at the corsair configurator
http://www.corsair.com/configurator/...aspx?id=831942

have you tried increasing your vdimm memory voltage to 1.60 volts ?

there is also a setting in the bios for the memory called QPi; make sure thats set correctly for your memory speed ?
