Re: installed xp and does not have network adapters

and welcome to the Forum

You need to load the drivers for your pc . . you can find them at the HP support site. Load the chipset driver first, then the others ( Video, Sound, Network )

Re: installed xp and does not have network adapters

NO XP drivers listed for this model on the HP website so you will have to find them.

Here is the spec sheet
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...377251&lang=en

Based on the info above here are a few,

Chipset: Intel 945GC (MUST be installed first)
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...18052&lang=eng

Video: Intel GMA 950
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...16835&lang=eng

LAN: PCI Realtek RTL8201E 10/100Mbps (I believe it should be a RTL8101)
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false

UAA Driver: Must be installed BEFORE the Audio
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/g...reg_R1002_USEN

Audio: Realtek HD Audio
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false

Modem: Conexant Systems PCI Soft Modem Driver
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/g...reg_R1002_USEN

Let us know if you run into problems installing the drivers and any remainig errors in the Device Manager

Thanks,
Bill
