SM Bus Controller

a warning keeps popping up for the sm bus controller. i cant seem to locate the right one. i have an emachine T6524

the only difference is that i put my hard drive from my old computer in this one and added 1.5gb of ram.

i went here http://www.emachines.com/support/pro...es&model=T6522 b/c i was told that the chipset was the same and downloaded the driver, but it didnt do anything. anyone have any ideas?

My System

Re: SM Bus Controller

This model comes with an ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Series.
Unlike Intel, some ATI chipsets are part of the Video Driver

The SM Bus driver is part of the Video driver:

A link to your drivers is here:
http://www.emachines.com/support/pro...ktops&subcat=T Series&model=T6524

Select Desktop
Select T Series
Select T6524

Download and install the ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Series Driver

If the SM Bus controller does not install you may have to manually install it through the Device Manager.

Let us know how you make out.

Bill
