Re: gateway 200arc other devices yellow question mark

you can use DriverMax to identify unknown hardware, get it from here:
http://www.drivermax.com/
you need to register for a free account, the free version allows you to download 3 drivers per day

Re: gateway 200arc other devices yellow question mark

Go to the Device Manager
Right click on the error>Properties>Details Tab
Post the info you find under Device Instance ID

Do this for each driver.

Re: gateway 200arc no sound help

yes it the same ones
BUT when i go to install http://support.gateway.com/support/d...&uid=243980260 chip set.
instructions say to go to programs accessories, and then click window explorer and then click c:cabs/9524569.
Well when i follow instructions there is no c:cab/ folder.. its documents .
i go to run type c:cabs/9524569 and go to setup. and thats the only way i know.
http://support.gateway.com/support/d...&uid=243980343
instructions say to go to device manager ,sound, click on sigmatel or in pci audio device. there is no sigmatel anywheres on computer.

Re: gateway 200arc no sound help

Hi,
This maybe an easier way.

These files are being Extracted to you C:\ Drive (Usually the primary HDD) and put into a folder called Caps
Depending on how many drivers you downloaded (ex. Chipset,Video, Audio) you may see various folders inside with different names
In this case the folder 9524569 is the Chipset Driver (from what you posted above).
So the path for this driver is C:\Cabs\9524569

Go to Start
Left click on MY Computer (C:\ Drive)
Left click on the Caps Folder
Left click on the 9524569 folder
Run the Setup exe. inside this folder.

This should install the Chipset driver.

Follow the SAME procedure above to install the Audio and Video Drivers.
Note the file number of the driver so you know what driver it is (ex. 9524569 is the Chipset driver).

Let me know how you make out.

Bill

Edit: I have merged your threads
