NVIDIA nForce Network Controller
Hi guys,
I've been having an issue with the NVIDIA nForce Network Controller and I'm not really sure what to do with it here. I just recently got wifi, I'm switching off of an air card. It's totally wireless, it just emits a signal and you're supposed to be able to just pick up the signal (which is working just fine on this laptop). But, this computer isn't detecting the wireless signal. I did a little reading on it, and that's why I attribute the issue to this driver. I have a HP Pavilion a6114x running Windows Vista. I'm not sure what else to say, but I'd appreciate it if I got some assistance with this. :D |

Re: NVIDIA nForce Network Controller
Well for one, it doesn't look like that computer has a wireless card installed in it.

Re: NVIDIA nForce Network Controller
Well, that makes sense.
I have another question on that then, how would I get my hands on one of those, and where would it go in my machine? I'm not exactly hardware savvy, as you can already tell. |

Re: NVIDIA nForce Network Controller
You can either get a USB wireless adapter, or a card that fits into a PCI slot. A USB one would be simplest.
Can you post the brand and model of your wireless router?

Re: NVIDIA nForce Network Controller
It looks like that router supports all modes of wifi (b, g, and n), so it doesn't really matter which wireless adapter you end up getting, although you may have to do a little configuring of the router to make sure it's set on the mode (b, g, or n) that your adapter supports.
