Pin How do I update video drivers?

I was advised to update video drivers. My video's are breaking up into blocks on multiple players, even after I installed CCCP codecs. The music video's worked at first.

Thanks in advance.

Re: How do I update video drivers?

what are you running
video card
cpu
m/board
ram
power supply

wattage

check the listings in the bios for voltages and temperatures and post them

in the device manager uninstall the video card
reboot tapping f8 and choose low resolution mode
when windows finishes rebooting

I have a prebuilt dell Dimension c521.

System Specs
CPU: Athlon 64 x2 4000+
Memory: 2 GB
Hard Drive: 320 GB
OS: vista Ultimate 32-bit

Is Nvidea the name of the video card?

Do I get the drivers from a site called Nvidea?

Thanks for replying.

Pencil Re: How do I update video drivers?

I clicked on the thing that said 'update your driver'. It said my driver was updated already. I right clicked and it said my driver was working.

Thanks for replying.

Re: How do I update video drivers?

That Dell model had 3 Video Options;
256MB ATI Radeon X1300 Pro
128MB ATI Radeon X1300
Integrated NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE graphic GPU
Go to Dell's site and use your Service Tag Number to get the correct drivers.

Pin Re: How do I update video drivers?

It's NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE.

Should I still replace it, when vista says it is good?

Thank you all for replying.

Re: How do I update video drivers?

I removed the codecs and installed vista codecs pack and Dell video drivers.

I still have the problem. It is much worse on VLC player than on Windows Media Player.

Thank you all for replying. Any advice?

Re: How do I update video drivers?

Download and run drive sweeper to remove all and any video drivers first.
http://downloads.guru3d.com/Guru3D--...er)_d1672.html

After finished removing video drivers, reboot pc.

Try updating the video driver here:

Nvidia graphics driver:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_wi...0.38_whql.html

After driver installation completes, reboot pc.
