MS -6330 Lite 3 ATX VA Mainboard

Hi
Where can I find a driver for this one and do I install it? i have googeled it but downloads are programs like driver detective(and so on) that wants you too pay money to update your drivers.

I would be happy if anyone could help me.

Re: MS -6330 Lite 3 ATX VA Mainboard

Microstar International made that board BUT they also made OEM's for others like Gateway so it may take different drivers depending on configuration.

However, MSI has the 4-in-1 and sound here;

'Microstar International made that board BUT they also made OEM's for others like Gateway so it may take different drivers depending on configuration.'

So, what computer make and motherboard and version do you have?

What brand, model, etc?

I already said you have to check the specific configuration.

On the back of the computer I find a note that says

A8 PUNDIT- RBB. ID3 P4R8L W08K

48PM049406

I got the brand but is this the model and configuration information that we need?

Re: MS -6330 Lite 3 ATX VA Mainboard

When you have a 'branded' computer ALWAYS get the drivers from the company that marketted the computer (eg: Acer, Compaq (now HP) HP, Dell, etc).

In your case, that mobo is an MSI BUT, the key thing is, it was specifically configured for Asus, so it may well be different than a regular MSI board of the same general description and thus have Bios and component features different than the MSI OEM board.

I hope that is clear.

Go to the Asus site.

Re: MS -6330 Lite 3 ATX VA Mainboard

So, you have no idea what your computer has for components until you search?

Well, anyway; http://ati.amd.com/products/radeon9100igp/features.html

Get the XP drivers, download, install.

Re: MS -6330 Lite 3 ATX VA Mainboard

The ATI All in One chipset drivers from the Asus site should run your graphics (onboard integrated).

If you have problems, the Catalyst drivers for integrated might be an option (top right hand side of this page; http://www.amd.com/us-en/SupportDriv..._15219,00.html

When I go to the controlpanel I can find the grapic card. It also says that it is running correctly. But when I try the game i see some serious flicker/strange square pattern. It might be something else that is wrong?

Re: MS -6330 Lite 3 ATX VA Mainboard

It also to seem to be a problem whit the autoplay(or even starting a disk) on the dvd player. Some dvds start others dont.

Re: MS -6330 Lite 3 ATX VA Mainboard

The integrated 9100 IGP was designed for DX8.1.

It is an outdated chip that cannot run modern games well - you will have to try the lowest settings it has and work slowly upward.

I suggest you post in the Hardware section about that and about the DVD.

Thank you! But it is not a modern game. (Barbie the island princess) This is the game. Itīs an old game so it should not be a problem I think.

Requirments:

Windows 200/XP/Vista
Pentium III 1 HGz or faster
32 MB DirectX compatible 3D video card (64 MB recommended)
256 MB RAM
DVD-rom drive
4 GB free hard drive
16-Bit color
DirectX compatible sound card
DirectX 9.0c

Re: MS -6330 Lite 3 ATX VA Mainboard

Game was released 10/30/07 - not really that old.

You can check that, when you run dxdiag from start, run, the Display area shows all accelerations enabled.

Although XP has installed for you and has DX9C, your vid chip, the 9100, supports DX8.1 and the game requires DX9.
