[SOLVED] Ethernet Controller - Yellow Exlamation Mark!

I just bought a 25m Cat 53 Patch Cable. Ive got it plugged in from my router, to my pc. However, nothing seems to happen when I plug it in.

I can see this:

My pc model is HP Pavillon a6090 and im running Windows XP (I reinstalled it).

Here is some more info:

Please can someone help I spent 30 pounds on this cable!

You need to load the driver for the Network Adaptor . . you can find it on the HP support site.

p.s. It looks like you are mising the driver for the sound card as well

Sounds Card is working good. It was really complicated and long to get it working but I managed it :)

Could you point me with a link because I cant see any drivers for Network Adaptors on Xp for my computer.

If the HP site does not have it, they are probably not offereing XP drivers for that model.

You can download and run Everest to see what Brand/Model the LAN card is and google for drivers

With Everest for my "Lan Controller" I get this:
Intel 82801GB ICH7 - LAN Controller [A-1] (PHY: Intel 82562ET) PCI

So is there no way to get this ethernet cable working :( ?

Also get the Device Instance Id for the network controller in question. Include in your next post.
