[SOLVED] cd-rw/dvd is stuck and wont open

i have an IBM think pad. All of a sudden my cd-rw/dvd wont open. i know there is not a cd or dvd stuck in there. I took the last one out and now the stupid thing wont open. I can take the whole thing out of the computer but it wont open to let me put a cd in there. Any help?? Please I'm new at this whole lap top thing!! LOl

Hello,

Does the light flash when trying to open.

Beside the eject button there should be a pinhole.

Try using a paperclip and see if the drive will open.

tHANKS FOR THE REPLY....WHEN THE CD ROM IS IN THE COMPUTER THE GREEN LIGHT IS ON. BUT NOT THE ONE ACTUALLY ON THE CD ROM...
(IF THAT MAKES ANY SCENSE)..WHEN I PULL IT OUT THE GREEN LIGHT GOES OUT. I TRIED USING A PIN IN THE PIN HOLE AND NOTHING HAPPENS...WHEN ITS OUT, AND BACK IN THE COMPUTER IT DOES NOTHING!
