ATI Graphics error?

In an attempt to get rid of all my PC problems and be able to play my games without to much frustration i brought an Acer 'Preditor' G7200, vista Premium 64bit running a Radeon HD 4850 series graphics card. upon installation all was going well untill i kept getting an error on startup...

**The Catalyst Control Centre is not supported by the driver version of your
enabled graphics adapter.Please upgrade your ATI Graphics driver or enable your ATI Adapter using The Displays Manager**

The CCC looks like it works ok? it starts up and responds without crashing (although i haven't pushed it at all). .Net 3.5 sp1 is installed.

what is the problem???

Any help would be greatly recieved...

Hello and Welcome to TSF,

Update the video driver here:

After installation, reboot pc before making any adjustments

The Error has gone, the problem is solved.

Strange as i tried to update the driver vis vista's Controll Panel.
