Drivers needed. Please help me.

I am having problem with my USB port. Under Universal serial (USB) bus Controller there are 5 Universal USB host like: Intel(R) 82801G(ICH7 Family) USB Universal Host Controller-27C8 and they are not working. I cannot update the drivers also.

I am using windows XP SP3 and this happened three days ago. I tried a lot. I even re-installed (Upgraded) the windows. I cannot format the computer because i have many programs running. This problem occurred when i installed Kaspersky trail internet security and uninstalled it again. I scanned my computer with many programs. Now i have Eset smart security and counterspy. They do not detect any virus or malwares. I am in problem because i cannot use any USB.

Please help me.

Please look at the attached picture. It is the screenshot.

Re: Drivers needed. Please help me.

Hi kris1911,
I have merged your post.

XP contains the drivers for USB.

Disconnect ALL your USB Devices

Go to the Device Manager
Right click on each USB Device>Uninstall
Reboot the Computer
Upon reboot XP should reinstall the drivers.

As far as your PCI Simple Communication Controller (Dialup Modem) we will need the make and model of the computer.

Let us know how you make out.
Bill

Re: Drivers needed. Please help me.

HI,
The make and model number is the type of computer you have.
Gateway, Dell, HP etc.
If this is a retail model computer there should be a Tag on it.
A laptop usually has a tag that shows the make and model on the bottom of the laptop.
If its is a desktop, the tag is usually located on the side or back of the tower.

If this is a custom computer or you have no idea what you have, please run EVEREST under my signature and attach the FULL report to the thread.
This report will tell us what Hardware is installed so we can help you.
Bill

Can you run Everest under my signature and attach the report to the thread?
Copy and paste the report to notepad or MS Word and attach the report using the Go Advance option.

Thanks,
Bill
