Intel d845hv sound drivers
My sound driver came up as "realtek ac'97 sound controller." I tried going to realtek's site, tried typing "ac'97" into google, no luck. It occurred to me to try intel's web site, and they had a driver from 2002. Changed the device manager title to "SoundMAX integrated digital audio." But this driver is still not new enough.
I play world of warcraft and I am trying to use ventrilo to voice-chat with my guild. But their voices come through all scrambled, and delayed by several seconds. Sounds like my best bet for fixing it would be a new driver. I think the problem is from both the game and the program trying to use my sound card at the same time... I know in ages past you could not have two programs sharing the sound card. Is my pc just that old, that I wont' be able to use both at once? Any help finding a newer driver would be awesome. |

Re: Intel d845hv sound drivers
Well I went to those web pages. For the chipset driver I tried the download link next to "Intel 845," I figured that was the closest to 845hv, since none of the other links were really a match.. but I downloaded it and I don't think it updated anything? The date on the driver is '08 but in my device manager my system device drivers are still dated as 01.. and I tried that audio link, and it said my "driver is current." :(
I guess I am just stuck, time to build a new soon-to-be-obsolete system haha Thanks very much for your time :) |
