Hp touchsmart iq 515 - vista to xp

Hi all,

For my business use i need downgrade from vista to xp pro sp3.

I have spent a lot time to find drivers for this pc.

- sata driver for 640go hard disk
- chipset
- video
- network lan
- wifi
- webcam
- touchscreen

does anybody already make this touchsmart pc IQ515 running under xp pro ?

please give me a hand.

Go here for the chipset driver for xp:

Mobile Intel® GM965 Express Chipset

Download: Graphics driver, Intel chipset, Intel Matrix storage Manager

Network driver:

High Definition Audio driver:

Note: Install the chipset first, reboot pc after each driver installation.(install drivers in the order up above). Install windows updates next.

Chip set ok
Matrix storage ok
Lan ok

Audio ===> not ok, in fact the driver install well but in material i still see "High audio .."

My system is Xp pro sp3.

Ok what is in the device manager with a yellow ! or red X by it?
Tell me exactly how the Audio HIgh definition is listed there?
Which audio file did you download from my link?

Hi ,

For the audio i took this one from the site you gave me:

Windows 2000, Windows XP/2003(32/64 bits) Driver only (Executable file)

Following the screen copy of Windows material in yellow and the report of the system from everest.

ps : when i restart xp, the system closes well then i had the black screen. so i had to push the power-on button to shutdown the pc.

1. uninstall the sounddriver through add/remove
2. check device manager to make sure it is removed
3. reboot pc
(if a new found hardware wizard comes up, then cancel it out)
4. install the audio driver
5. reboot pc

This is an older post, but I am trying to downgrade to XP because I am having compatibility issues with a program. After installing XP and all the drivers listed here, does the touch screen ability still work? HP says that it will only work with Vista, is this correct?
