[SOLVED] i NEED AN INSTALATION FOR MY etherent DRIVER
Hello, my XP windows desktop has an Ethernet port (just the 1), and for some reason, when i plug in my broadband Hub into the Ethernet port, the computer doesn't recognize the Ethernet cable , cos i don't have a "driver installed". Can someone tell me a way i can install it. (preferably a link to a site where i can download it straight from)

Has it ever worked?
When you say " broadband Hub", are you referring to the box (router) the cable company furnished?
The Ethernet driver is on the Mobo CD.

Im sorry i dont know, my brother, who isnt here, assembled the computer, so what should i do
My etherent port does light up green but the computer does not recognise it

i dont want to open my computer, if possible, becuase its time consuming, and i dont know much about computers

The site you gave me does not allow me to install everest, because when i download it it says," it is not a valid win32 apllication" ,

It does not show network cards, It only shows network adapters. I found this in the ethernet controller folder, does this help

I'm going to give you a french website, accept the active X and run the scan (Click on "Lancer la détection"). Copy/past the result.
