Identify this webcam?
I found it in a drawer, it's an old one of my buddy's that he donated to me. It is at least 5 years old, if not older. It runs via USB and is silver in colour. I've included this crappy paint picture for the basic shape of it. It might be 3" tall. There's a shiny silver button on the back with three dots on it that you use to take pictures with. I'd like to try and find the drivers for it but of course I need to know the model etc.
My computer autodetects it as "USB Camera" and that's it. It can't find any drivers/installation stuff. |

Re: Identify this webcam?
Haha, nice art.
I think it would be best if you looked closely at the camera. Look on the back, the underside, etc. for any inscriptions. It might not be on a sticker, nor even printed in color. Sometimes it'll be engraved in the plastic like this (which would be even harder to read in small characters or in white), so look closely. Hopefully you'll find a brand or manufacturer. Another thing you can try is the unknown device identifier. http://www.zhangduo.com/udi.html There's a lot of rare and obscure, or low production cams out there, so they might not be catalogued by it, but it's something to try. |

Re: Identify this webcam?
The for sure way of finding the driver for the webcam is this:
Take the webcam apart and look for the serial number of it google the serial number or post here with serial number and we would be happy to find the correct driver for it.
