[SOLVED] Can't find driver for EPOX MB: EP-9nPAJ NF4 939

I upgraded to Vista a couple of years ago and finally downgraded to XP today, and have not been able to connect to the internet for some reason. It says that it can't find the network hardware when I try to set up a small home network. So, I figured I'll need to install the network driver which seems to be integrated into my EPOX motherboard. It's been a while and a friend built the PC for me so I am unsure of all these specifics.

Unfortunately though, I haven't been able to find the driver for this MB. I have tried everywhere on the internet and the website either have old, invalid links or direct me to one of those drivefinder softwares. I was wondering if any of you folks know where I can find this driver (or if this is even a relevant problem) as my friend and I followed the hardware suggestions from this forum to build my PC.

Thanks!

I concur with your findings , nothing out there. I read a couple of reviews re-the MB and the Lan seems to be a prob.( I'm not saying there is a prob with yours)
May I suggest you buy a Nic card . They're really cheap.

Re: Can't find driver for EPOX MB: EP-9nPAJ NF4 939

HI,
It just sounds like a driver issue to me.

Here is your spec sheet:
http://www.epox.com/USA/product.asp?ID=EP-9npaj

According to the specs you need a Nvidia nForce 4 Chipset driver:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_winxp_15.23.html

If you have any other errors in the Device Manager after the Chipset Driver is installed, you should see a yellow!? or red x, (these are errors). Please post what errors you find.

On these errors can you also:
Right click on the error>Properties>Details Tab
Post the info you find unde Device Instance ID.

Do this for each error

Thanks,
Bill

Bill, you are right on the money. That's what I did - installed the nforce4 driver. Fixed everything.
