i hope i posted this in the right section
but anyway heres my story : My computer stopped working, i would turn it on and it would get stuck at the desktop and say "windows explorer needs to close". So i got one of my family friends to fix it, he reinstalled windows, and put a fake windows on here, theres a problem though, i dont want to install any service packs because if might ask me to activate windows, and i dont have a key. So i got my computer back and reinstalled all the drivers, EXCEPT the sound ones, when i bought my computer, (i bought it custom and my friend put it together) it came with a CD that has the sound drivers on it, but when i try installing it, it says that i need atleast service pack 1. So im trying to find some drivers that will work with normal windows, no service packs installed. The drivers that are on the CD are Realtek, i checked their website and download all that they have there, but they all ask for Windows XP Service Pack 1. here are my computers detaills: operating system : Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Processor: AMD Athlon (tm) 62 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ (2CPUs), ~ 2.2GHz memory: 1024MB RAM Display: NVIDIA GeFOrce 6200 Turbo Cache(TM) 256.0 MB I got all of this from dxdiag this is from my motherboard manual, my motherboard is Asus A7VL133-VM Socket A Motherboard Via Chipset KL133A Thanks, i hope we find a solution. |
