WPA Wireless Problem
I have a Toshiba Mini PCI Wireless adapter (PA3171U-1MPC) and am having trouble using WPA security with it. The driver installed is listed as Agere Systems 7.62.0.390 and was realesed in January of 2003. Does anyone know where I can get a more updated driver for this? I have been to Agere's site (now under LSI) and they do not have support for the card anywhere on the site. I have been to Toshiba's site, but the driver revision is the same as above.
If not, can anyone tell me how to get that card working with WPA? I am running XP Pro service pack 2. |

Hi and welcome to the forum Socrates.
It would appear that the wireless card you have doesn't actually support WPA encryption and im afraid that a driver update will not acually make a difference in this case. Perhaps consider purchasing a wireless dongle or pcmcia wireless card thats more up to date or even change your encryption down to WEP.
