How do I reinstall my cd/dvd burner for emachine w3619
My cd/dvd burner was working fine the day before. Now it say please install it. This has happen to me before. When my computer was in warranty their was a command prompt they gave to fix the problem. No my computer is out of warranty. Does any one know the command prompt or can you suuggest another way for me to reinstall my cd/dvd burner?

and welcome to the ForumTry removing the drive in Device Manager, then reboot to let Windows "Discover" it and load the drivers.

I uninstalled my drive. Rebooted it. I completed a search with my computer to locate the drive, a message appeared saying contact manufacture operation failed.
