XP + VideoLan VLC = blue screen

PC is T 23
windows XP professional
VideoLan VLC 0.8.6.c

If I try to use VLC to play from a file one or two songs/ musik videos from youtube than all is ok BUT
if I want to play 10 or more, the first 3 songs are fine- then the screen changes to the old windows 95 version and the following error message appears: The 53XX av. display driver has stopped working normally. Save your work and reboot the system....
if I do so I get:
blue screen with: KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR
I did the scan in RUN :chkdsk /f /r
restart was fine, BUT again same error as a tried the songs....
please I am NOT a freak- only a user

but waiting for advise
thanks and happy EASTER

Is this a desktop? Kindly include brand/model. Also include exact error message before and during the BSOD.

Re: XP + VideoLan VLC = blue screen

T 23 is an IBM laptop called thinkpad- but this is of course a lie!!
the problem with the error message is: after the screen converted to a 95 win mode also the pixel are really "great" it means I cannot see the error message clearly: box appears with" the 53?? av.display driver has stopped working normally. Save your work and reboot the system to restore full"
To say it clear this is written on the win 95 screen mode. at this time the computer is not crashed even the musik still plays, it is just that I cannot see the writing clear. after I click on the restart-button the computer looks like it is shutting down but halfway through the process a blue screen apairs with :
KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR that is all, and yes no digits before or after. Every time I switched the computer off and after that it started normally.
My PC is not the fastest one and you know this media files/mp4 from youtube are damn huge - between 4 and 23 MB each.
In my opinion it could be more as one reason and I would like to minimise the possibilities and find a solution.
thank you

Re: XP + VideoLan VLC = blue screen

Forgive the ignorance but what exactly do you mean when you say ' it converted to Win 95 screen mode'?

It would help if you can get a screen shot and upload it here.

Re: XP + VideoLan VLC = blue screen

Oooh, now I am in deep ... How can I answer this question??

please go to this screenshot
http://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?...20081208212421

With screen I mean more technically; graphical interface
but in such a bad quality-I could count every single pixel
and I cannot make a screenshot cant see even a button...

sorry

Re: XP + VideoLan VLC = blue screen

Download the video driver from Lenovo.
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...s/vftp1a2x.exe

I suggest you uninstall the old/faulty video driver (and reboot):
  1. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
  3. Select the SuperSavage and Utilities in the list box.
  4. Click the Add/Remove button to remove the display driver.
Note: If necessary, the Uninstall procedure will reset the system to VGA.

Then install the new video driver:
Installation instructions
  1. Start Windows 2000/XP, and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract the video drivers to the hard disk drive.
  3. Click Start, then click Run.
  4. In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\DISPLAY\SETUP.EXE
  5. Click the OK button to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead.
  6. Follow the prompts on the screen.
