Need USB drivers!

Tried to update my USB drivers resulting in failure of all my USB ports. I went to Device Manager and uninstalled all of the USBs. Tried to download drivers from Microsoft Update to no avail. What shoud I do now?

Try re-installing your chipset drivers.

in the device manager click on view at the top and in the dropdown
show hidden devices
then uninstall all listed usb items
turn the computer off
unplug usb plugs
reboot twice
replug in the usb plugs

USB ports only work in Safe Mode

To see ALL the 'hidden' devices in Device Manager, open System Properties, click Advanced tab, click Environment Variables button, click NEW button in System Variables and enter Variable Name = devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices and Variable Value = 1.

When you go to Device Manager see hidden devices (as per dai's suggestion), you will see all the attached and non-attached devices. Follow dai's suggestion on delete and reboot.
