[SOLVED] I need a WD3200JS-60PDB0 driver

I have a HP Pavilion a1777c PC with Vista (the PC comes with vista) I want to install XP pro as a secondary OS. But since my Hard Drive is SATA the XP disc cant install the driver for the OS. I need the driver for my HD which is a WD3200JS-60PDB0. I go to HP but the driver they offer is for Vista only. Can I find this driver elsewhere So I can slipstream the driver into my XP disc?

Re: I need a WD3200JS-60PDB0 driver

If you are trying to install Xp onto a HD with Vista already installed, it won't install. You need Xp on the 1st partition and Vista on the 2nd.

Hi,
This should be the sata driver you need to slipstream:

If you have a Floppy drive it may save you the slipstream process.

Can I install XP onto a completely different HD?

Hi
See if this works for you if you wish to dual boot
http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_v...step_guide.htm

Seeing this is a tower you can add an additional HD.
I would advise removing the Vista HD from the tower so you will not accidently format that drive.
Once XP is install on the other HD you may reinsert your Vista HD.

This should allow you to toggle between the 2 drives on bootup.

If i remove the main HD, won't XP name the second HD the "C:" drive?
