Bart PE and acer aspire x3200
I just got started with my brand new acer aspire X3200 computer.
First step was to get rid of the vista. After the XP CD didn't start (due to the missing driver) I got help from the following thread: [SOLVED] acer drivers I managed to install XP! But I got to the next problem where I got stuck for days now. I use DriveImage XML to save my C:\ partition. In order to get the image back I used to start Bart PE with the DIX Addon. I could not get a Bart PE CD starting up. First I only used to standard XP SP2 than the start up ended with nvgts.sys is missing. Than I included the nvidia drivers for the SATA (D:\temp\nvidia\IDE\WinXP\sata_ide) in the Bart PE (C:\pebuilder3110a\drivers\SCSIAdapter) and now it always crashes with a blue screen saying there is a problem with the drivers. There is a Nvidia MCP78S chipset. Basically I want to get the images back - is there any other way than Bart PE which will work with this computer? Or what I'm doing wrong to include the drivers in Bart PE? Hopefully someone knows a hint? |
