Re: Driver help

You might try downloading Everest trial version to get more info on your motherboard and so on here: http://www.lavalys.com/products/down...?ps=UE&lang=en . Then try here for drivers: http://www.acerpanam.com/synapse/for...=2&formid=3394
Hope this helps.

Re: Driver help

Hi Timmy, have a look in your Device Management console. If you're missing drivers, that will be the place to find out:

- Click Start -> Run -> type:
devmgmt.msc
- Click OK

If you get stuck, just post a screenshot of your Device Manager window and we'll be able to advise.

Re: Driver help

Yep...if a device is missing drivers, you would usually see an exclamation mark next to it as it appears on the list:

Re: Driver help

I just came across a new problem, my computer wont boot up unless i hit the tower. it sits at the acer screen until i hit the tower i tried a bunch of times to get it to boot up but it just wont until i give it a smack. i took off the side cover then restarted it and tapped on a few things inside until i found what it was that i needed to hit before it would boot. on the board the fan that sticks off it once i hit it with a flashlight i have here it will start right up, if i dont hit it the acer screen will stay there and do nothing. i think i was ripped off buying this tower and i cant afford to buy a new one at this time. i hope there is a way to fix it but i dont know what to do now, i hope someone can help

Re: Driver help

Certainly a weird problem but it may suggest something isn't attached properly in the box. The only suggestion I can make is to double check all connections inside, but if this is not something you're comfortable doing, I would not recommend you try yourself as you may inadvertedly damage something else.

If the machine is still fairly new and within warranty, I would arrange it to be sent back for repair.
