Cry How To get a Drive To Install

My PC was not seeing my CD Rom drive and couldn't find the driver. but when i got into Device Management it said it was up to date. but gave me an error 39 and said it could be corrupt or missing. i read on-line that i needed to uninstall it and then reinstall the driver. So I went into Device Manager and pushed uninstall but i can't find the driver to reinstall. The information on the CD-Rom is....
HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GSA-H60L SCSI Cd Rom Device [CD-ROM drive]
Device Type ... DVD/CD-Rom driver
Manufacturer ... standard CD-Rom driver
Location ... Bus Number 1, Target ld 1, LUN0
....but now it isn't even seen in Device Manager

Re: How To get a Drive To Install

Hi,
Vista and XP both have the drivers for this drive.
Have you rbooted the PC to reinstall the driver?
If you did and still have issues you may need to delete the upper/lower filters:

Thanks,
