[SOLVED] network adapter

ok i am going to try and be specific about my problem so hopefully ill get some help. i have a ibm thinkpad lenova running win 98 se. i need to find a driver for a ieee 802.11b dsss high speed standard

usb spec 11 compliant

model:swl-2300u

fccid:e2xwl-2300u

made in korea

serial no:tuusdd-s21639243

if you can help me find the driver for this usb connecter for wireless network i would be greatfull thanks

ok i downloaded the driver and got it installed and it works like a charm thanks so much

one more question i am getting a wirless router and dsl next week is there anything else i need to do im going to hook the router and dsl modem up to my desktop and just use my adapter on my laptop i want to make sure my laptop is still going to work.

Glad to here you have it up and running.

If you are going to connect to a DSL modem and router you should have no issues, but if the router is going to be wireless make sure you secure the wireless router. This will stop people from using your wireless connection.

Are you installing this or a professional?

my husband and i are doing it how do i secure the router i never had one before i like to go in chat rooms but i have heard of stories of people getting your info to through a router my desktop is windows me and this laptop is windows 98se desktop is 3 geg hd this one is 5 geg i guess i need to know what i need to put on them to keep them safe from intruders and still have hd space thanks for your help
