Assitence in What drivers...

I recently re-installed my os (xp, sp2) on my computer. I dont however, have the system disk with all the relevent drivers for my hardware on my computer... So nothing works anymore. I just need to esablish a internet connection, from there i can use automatic driver update software that i have.
My problem is i have no idea what drivers I need to download, to get a working internet connection back online. I also have no idea what make/modell my hardware is (i.e. Motherboard, ect.), so this makes searching for drivers very hard.
Can anyone offer assistence in this problem i have. thankyou in advance!

Did you install the motherboard chipset drivers first?

Re: Assitence in What drivers...

Are the files .INF?
You will need to install the motherboard chipset drivers first in order for any other devices to be recognized, It it is an ATI chip set they may be part of the graphic drivers.

If what you have is a recovery disk you may have erased the recovery partition during the reformat so that would be the missing files?
