pci paralel card

I just built a new computer that does not have a parallel port on the mobo.I want to run my scanport scanner. I bought a parallel pci card, and put that in the computer it runs a n MOS chip. I can't figure out which driver to use with the card. I'm running vista home premium 32 bit sp1. The guy in China I bought the card from has no idea what to do. I'd love some help .
Thanks,

Re: pci paralel card

What Brand and model is the card? You would download the driver from the manufacturers support site ( and hope they have a vista driver )

Re: pci paralel card

I dod find the driver on line. I installed it and I'm still getting the message "no host adapter found" when I tell Swiss knife to search for the scanner. I know it's hooked up right. It installed to lpt3 and lpt1 is in use. Should I move it to lpt2?
