DVR 1810 help!!!!!!!
I'm running Windows SP3, using a Pioneer DVR-1810, but windows wont let me install the drivers for it. Every time i reset the drivers it installs as PIONEER DVR-RW DVR-112D. While it is as such, it will not read any form of CD or DVD, and slows down the computer to screaming point when i do put something in. PLEASE HELP!

Re: DVR 1810 help!!!!!!!
Hi,
XP has the drivers for this already. You should have no need to install the drivers. How did you connect this drive? Is this the only CD-Rom Drive on the computer? Bill |

Re: DVR 1810 help!!!!!!!
Its hooked up through a regular parallel ATA hookup, but is not the only drive i have in there. I'm also running a LG DVD rom, BR/HD reader through a serial ATA hookup. the one I'm trying to fix is a Pioneer DVR-1810, and it registers and doesn't function as a DVR-112D.

Re: DVR 1810 help!!!!!!!
Do you have it set as Master on its own ATA (80 pin) cable?
Is it the only device on the ribbon cable? Does the BIOS Detect the CD-rom as Secondary Master? What is the make and model of the motherboard or computer? Bill |

Re: DVR 1810 help!!!!!!!
If your HD (HARDDRIVE) is set to master and the CD-ROM(Pioneer DVR-1810) is set to master this will cause an issue. You cannot have them both set to MASTER. If anything JUMPER them both (Harddrive/CD-Rom) to CABLE SELECT.
