[SOLVED] Drivers for DVD/CD HP Pavilion A1132N

My DVD and CD have quit working. In the device manager there is a yellow ! beside them.
This is the error message that comes up:
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.o disable them."

have being having trouble ever since my son hooked up an external hard drive. My Norton antivirus has become disabled as well. I can't reload it because the CD can't load. Can someone please help?

I read some of the previous threads and got the drivers working for the DVD and Cd player working. Now I have to figure out how to uninstall Norton to reinstall it. I know that there is more to it than just running the uninstall program cause Norton tend to hide lots of files doesn't it?
