[SOLVED] Samsung monitors driver problem

I'm running dual-display. Main monitor is a Samsung Syncmaster 2232BW-plus, and the 2nd is a Samsung Syncmaster 730b. The 17" was always identified as "Generic PnP monitor" driver. I just bought the 22", and after installing the driver, I noticed that the 17" is now identified as "Samsung 2232BW...yadayada", and the 22" is now "Generic PnP.."

??
I'm now having contrast issues on my tried-and-true 17" 730B and wonder if the driver screwup is to blame? If so, how do I go about properly installing the new driver for the new monitor only?

Also, anyone know if installing an older XP driver (only one I can find on Samsung's site) for the 730B would be beneficial at all over the "Generic PnP.." one?

Thanks for any replies!

Re: Samsung monitors driver problem

Ok, if anyone cares, it turned out to be a "digital Vibrance" setting burried deep in the Nvidea control panel that was causing the bad picture. not sure how that random slider got moved ever so slightly, but it sure made a horrible difference.
