OS: windows vista ultimate

Please Help!!!!

I got this new computer, specs:

Intel® Core™ Duo Processor E2160, 1.8 GHz, 1 MB L2 cache,
Windows Vista Ultimate
Intel BOXD945GCPE All in One Board
Intel® 945GC Express Chipset
- Integrated Intel® GMA 950 graphics core
• Supports FSB 1066/800/533MHz.
• Intel® ICH7/ICH7R Chipset
- Hi-Speed USB (USB2.0) controller, 480Mb/sec, up to 8 ports.
- 4 SATAII ports with transfer rate up to 3Gb/s.
- 1 channel Ultra ATA 100 bus master IDE controller.
- PCI Master v2.3, I/O APIC.
- ACPI 2.0 compliant.
- Serial ATA RAID 0/1/0+1 for ICH7R.
- Integrated AHCI controller for ICH7R.

I installed counter strike source, ran it and of course, without a graphics card it was very very low quality. So i went out and bought a graphics card that was compatible with PCI as there are no vgu or pci-e slots (DO NOT ASK ME WHY???!!! AND YES IT IS A BRAND NEW MOTHERBOARD!!)
- ATI Radeon 9000 257MB 128bit DDR.

I ran counter strike source and then it worked but when i started it, it said something along the lines of your graphics card drivers are out of date, if you run the game it would most likely crash or something like that, i ran the game regardless, and after about 30 minutes of playing it went really weird, alot of different colours on the screen, completely unrecognisable. and I had to restart my computer to get it back to normal. So i took steams advice, and installed new drivers. I ran counter strike source and it came up with: preparing to launch counter strike source, and then the screen went away and nothing happened, then i went to control panel and manage hardware, my graphics card was not there, the computer isnt reading it!!!!!! I want to re install drivers but couldn't becaese my graphics card wasnt being detected by the computer. the computer is running at absolute minimum graphics requirements now!!!

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Re: Please Help!!!!

HI,
Did you remove the card before you attemted another reinstall?
Uninstall the program in Add/Remove Programs
Remove the "new" card.
Connect to your on-board Video and reboot.
Follow the new install instruction for your video card and reboot.
UPON reboot go into the BIOS and Disable your ON-Board Video, continue the boot process. Your new card should be up and running.

Are you using the stock PSU or did you upgrade the PSU when you upgraded the Video card?
Many stock PSU's are at or below the minimum requirements to run updated graphics cards.
What are the specs of your PSU?
Bill
