IEEE 1394 driver won't reinstall
Hello experts,
![]() I have an AG-DVC 30 Panasonic mini DV video camera connected to the computer through an IEEE 1394 fire wire cable. Everything was going fine until one day (I suspect my anti-virus) without warning the AVC driver was disabled and the camera was no longer recognized when connected. I tried to reinstall the driver and got the following message: “There was a problem installing this hardware IEEE 1394 AV device An error occurred during the installation of the device the I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request" I read somewhere that the problem could be due to a specific Windows service “Security Center”. That service was preventing the driver to download and reinstall. I made a first attempt by disabling the service and it worked. But then the problem occurred again and disabling “Security Center” won’t help. I also tried to disable my firewall. That won’t work either. ![]() Can someone help please ? Michel |
