BSOD while using HDTV tuner? KBDclass.sys
ok, so by now all of you would probably know if i had to resort to forum posting at this point it'd be because my final option is a full re-install.
I've fixed alot of problems on this pc working from a broken registry down to this last bug while even changing up the mobo and GFX card inbetween which didn't solve the problem but didn't create any new ones either. MY PROBLEM: i get a kbdclass.sys BSOD, no equal to or less and the numbers don't really make sense to anyone anymore either since everyone just thinks of this problem as logitech. I do have a G11 keyboard and mouse trackball that uses setpoint, not mouseware so i'm clear on that problem solve. What i've done: uninstalled all items that seem to cause the problem including the HDtuner usb device and it's software / hardware drivers. I uninstalled all logitech devices, keyboard and mouse. I uninstalled ALL incompatible drivers and tried unplugging all USB cords and un-installing all their hardware drivers which didn't stop the BSOD at shutdown. What i didn't try: Searching the registry for all instances of KBDclass.sys and removing them to see if problem solves. DXdiag: http://www.onlinewarfare.org/DxDiag.txt |

Re: BSOD while using HDTV tuner? KBDclass.sys
add in, VLC media player and the HDTV tuner both crash to BSOD as well as normal shutdown and i've also tried un-installing all vid codecs and re-installing them..
All games work fine tho, they've never had a problem that i couldn't fix. AND no i haven't updated my bios lol even though i know i should try that i don't want to touch it until i know the problem is with it. |

Re: BSOD while using HDTV tuner? KBDclass.sys
Somewhat Solved,
I deleted all registry keys reguarding KBDclass.sys and then put this one back in and it seems to have killed the BSOD.... BTW i don't care if my pc was gonna die more due to this but since i was being somewhat selective with only kbdclass.sys searching it seems to have worked!!! woot! (experimentation FTW) Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\Kbdclass] "ErrorControl"=dword:00000001 "Group"="Keyboard Class" "Start"=dword:00000001 "Tag"=dword:00000001 "Type"=dword:00000001 "DisplayName"="Keyboard Class Driver" "ImagePath"=hex(2):53,00,79,00,73,00,74,00,65,00,6d,00,33,00,32,00,5c,00,44,00,\ 52,00,49,00,56,00,45,00,52,00,53,00,5c,00,6b,00,62,00,64,00,63,00,6c,00,61,\ 00,73,00,73,00,2e,00,73,00,79,00,73,00,00,00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\Kbdclass\Parameters] "ConnectMultiplePorts"=dword:00000000 "KeyboardDataQueueSize"=dword:00000064 "KeyboardDeviceBaseName"="KeyboardClass" "MaximumPortsServiced"=dword:00000003 "SendOutputToAllPorts"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\Kbdclass\Enum] "0"="Root\\RDP_KBD\\0000" "Count"=dword:00000004 "NextInstance"=dword:00000004 "1"="HID\\Vid_046d&Pid_c225&Col01\\7&262f9321&0&0000" "2"="HID\\Vid_15a4&Pid_9016&MI_01\\8&21ef7d40&0&0000" "3"="HID\\Vid_046d&Pid_c221&MI_00\\8&15931f21&0&0000" ------ i left this one out !!! ------ Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet008\Services\Kbdclass] "ErrorControl"=dword:00000001 "Group"="Keyboard Class" "Start"=dword:00000001 "Tag"=dword:00000001 "Type"=dword:00000001 "DisplayName"="Keyboard Class Driver" "ImagePath"=hex(2):53,00,79,00,73,00,74,00,65,00,6d,00,33,00,32,00,5c,00,44,00,\ 52,00,49,00,56,00,45,00,52,00,53,00,5c,00,6b,00,62,00,64,00,63,00,6c,00,61,\ 00,73,00,73,00,2e,00,73,00,79,00,73,00,00,00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet008\Services\Kbdclass\Parameters] "ConnectMultiplePorts"=dword:00000000 "KeyboardDataQueueSize"=dword:00000064 "KeyboardDeviceBaseName"="KeyboardClass" "MaximumPortsServiced"=dword:00000003 "SendOutputToAllPorts"=dword:00000001 --- i'll do a few restarts over the next 3 days and see if it worked, if not i'll throw the first one and try the second only, but for now the first one being put back in actually restored me being able to use the keyboard lol! even tho i can use on-screen with mouse still while it was dead. |
